Azure DevOps Lead at Smartronix in Remote

SMX is seeking an Azure DevOps expert to lead enterprise and government customers through their digital modernization journey. This person will have experience helping drive transformation using the current Waterfall methodology to using a new DevOps and Agile framework (working alongside an expert Agile Transformation Coach) to deliver software projects. The position requires a balance of expert DevOps systems knowledge on the Microsoft Azure platform (the tool), working Agile knowledge (the process), combined with strong consulting, mentoring, documentation, and overall technical experience.
Responsibilities:
Customizes and configures the Azure DevOps environment using industry leading best practices. Conducts assessments to understand the complete picture of the organization's current practices in DevOps. Recommends a strategy and roadmap to increase the efficiency of teams using Azure DevOps. Helps customers achieve business agility via optimizing the customer's use of Azure DevOps as the customer transforms from Waterfall to Agile via the SAFe framework. Ensures best practices are tailored for customer environments and integrated with customer organizational processes. Guides customers through achieving continuous integration, testing, and continuous delivery. Helps customers establish a DevOps culture and mindset and works with the Agile Transformation Coach to guide customers on associated Agile technical practices. Provides customized tailored learning that focuses on topics that are most relevant to the DDS environment, team, and solution. Mentors leaders via socializing the new concepts and providing orientation and overview training. Guides the shift from project-to-product with a focus on Customer Centricity and Design Thinking as part of Agile Product Delivery. Communicates progress and highlights early accomplishments. Creates strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning. Plans and schedules project deliverables, goals, milestones. Performs team assessments and evaluations. DevOps Engineer Expert Former government or enterprise consulting experience a plus Vaccination is a requirement of the position per Executive Order 14042.
