The Claims Division is seeking a Legal Bill Auditor/Analyst to join the Shared Services Team.
We are seeking an individual who thrives in a highly collaborative team oriented environment.
The Legal Bill Auditor/Analyst position requires supporting the Claims Division with the legal billing review process and paralegal administrative duties (as needed).
Responsibilities:
Specifics duties include but not limited to the below:
Review and adjust legal invoices ensuring compliance standards meet Arch litigation guidelines for accuracy of billing entries and receipt of supporting documentation Review, research, and respond to billing questions and invoice reduction appeal requests directly from law firms and alternative legal service providers Apply necessary and appropriate bill deductions when required Communicate invoice discrepancies and issues concerning attorney/firm rates, delays in billing, and all entry irregularities to team members Collaborate with team members to control litigation cost Maintain invoicing checklist to ensure all billable projects are addressed Provide assistance to Claims Examiners with navigating LSS system invoice review process Perform minor legal research, docket searches, and pull documentation Review and adjust legal invoices ensuring compliance with reasonable case management principles and/or Arch litigation guidelines in CounselLink application.
Required Skills & Education:
Bachelor's degree required-Juris Doctor preferred.
In-house and insurance/reinsurance experience; either or both preferred Minimum of three (3) years' experience working with litigation/legal billing practices, civil court rules/procedures, and state/federal court systems Hands-on experience and strong aptitude with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, Word; experience with or willingness to train in use of SharePoint, SmartSheet and CounselLink application.
Exceptional communication (written and verbal), influencing, negotiating, listening, and interpersonal skills to effectively develop productive working relationships with internal/external peers and other professionals across organizational lines Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and time management skills Advanced attention to detail ensuring work product accuracy Applies critical thinking and produces information to identify key issues Physical Requirements of position:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time and repetitive typing/input of data via keyboard by use of laptop/computer and mouse configuration.
Ability to use arms/wrists to type, input data for 4-6/hours per work day.
Ability to use headset or ear buds to communicate via online meetings, online phone calls.
Ability to work with two screen configuration for computer; including head and neck movement/pivots.

This range is as of the time of posting.
Position is incentive eligible.
$71,900 - $97,110/year Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
