And we were recently named as one of America's Most Loved Workplaces 2022 by Newsweek!Job DescriptionGeneral PurposeUnder the direction of the appropriate manager, the Operations Manager will maintain responsibility for overall shift operations, production performance, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
The Operations Manager will also maintain and monitor facility and staff for regulatory compliance and safe behavior in accordance with all federal, state, local, and customer requirements.
Principal ResponsibilitiesGeneral understanding of Processing Plant operations and Maintenance (Batch plant, concrete, asphalt)Maintenance such as general repairs, belt splicing, fabrication, welding, and general facility operations maintenance.
Supervise operations personnel in accordance with operations plan, health and safety plan, work rules, and monitoring and testing requirements.
Assure adherence/compliance to all federal, state, and local permit requirements, assuring that materials are processed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
Assist in training and development of operations personnel.
Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of equipment to assure quality production standards.
Uphold facility hygiene and stringent housekeeping standards.
Maintain accurate production, quality control, and equipment records as well as daily inspection reports.
Communicate to management and supervisors facility needs, difficulties, and changes in operations.
Help implement safety, health, and environmental plans& procedures.
Participate in customer tours of production facility as requiredAssist other departments (i.

years of supervisory experience2
years of mechanical experience - Welding, Fabrication, General MaintenanceMaterials processing, asphalt/concrete plant, or land development and construction experienceWillingness and ability to wear company provided personal protection equipment including eye protection, steel toed shoes, hard hat, Tyvek coveralls, and respiratorPreferred QualificationsAssociate's or bachelor's degreeExtremely organized and attention to detail requiredAbility to deal politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkersAbility to follow directions or instructionsAbility to use a computer to communicate, create, and access informationLabor relations/union management experienceAdditional InformationClean Earth offers competitive benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, life insurance and disability plans, as well as a 401k with company matching.
