Job Description:
Primary Skill Set:
Linux (Shell Script):
Proficiency in Linux system administration, including shell scripting, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Python:
Strong programming skills in Python for automation, scripting, and tool development.
Ansible (CI/CD Pipeline):
Experience with Ansible for configuring, orchestrating, and automating deployment pipelines and infrastructure management.
Spark Administration:
In-depth knowledge of Apache Spark administration, including cluster setup, configuration, monitoring, and optimization.
IBM Spectrum (Good to Have):
Familiarity with IBM Spectrum products is a plus and will be considered an advantage.
KEY
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Ansible and other automation tools to streamline software deployment and release processes.
Administer and optimize Apache Spark clusters, ensuring high availability, performance, and resource utilization.
Write and maintain shell scripts and Python automation scripts for various system tasks and processes.
Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to ensure system stability and security.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration of applications into the deployment pipeline.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies, and make recommendations for improvements to the infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or a similar role.
Strong proficiency in Linux system administration and shell scripting.
Proficiency in Python programming for automation.
Experience with Ansible for CI/CD pipeline setup and management.
Knowledge of Apache Spark administration is a plus.
Familiarity with IBM Spectrum products is desirable but not required.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
