Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Business Development specializing in Pharmacovigilance/ Healthcare/Life Sciences Safety Systems to lead New Business Development efforts in United States.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in Business Development, selling software solutions within the pharmaceutical industry, possessing a deep understanding of pharmacovigilance regulations and safety systems.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve company sales targets and expand market share within the Pharmacovigilance Safety Systems sector.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and potential clients in pharmaceutical companies.
Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and alliances to drive sales growth and market penetration.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and consulting to ensure alignment and success in meeting client needs.
Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and competitor activities, providing insights and recommendations to enhance the company's competitive position.
Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and progress updates to senior management.
Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, support, and motivation to ensure individual and collective success.
Develop and implement sales strategies Prepare operational and financial sales department reports Directly coordinate cross-selling and joint marketing initiatives to maximize exposure and profitability Strong leadership skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in Business Development within the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in Pharmacovigilance Safety Systems or related software solutions.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets and driving revenue growth.
In-depth knowledge of pharmacovigilance regulations and understanding of pharmaceutical safety systems.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Preferred:
Existing networks and relationships within the pharmaceutical industry in the United States Experience working with a diverse portfolio of pharmacovigilance software solutions.
