Python Developer


Responsibilities:
Develop and enhance various applications impacting multiple jurisdictions.
Improve existing codebase to enhance performance and functionality.
Engage in daily stand-up meetings with the development team following Agile methodology.
Requirements:
Intermediate to Senior level Python development experience (4-5 years) with a focus on server-side development.
Proficiency in object-oriented programming and experience with Flask framework.
Familiarity with front-end technologies such as Angular or JavaScript.
Background in finance, particularly knowledge of investment banking industry and regulatory reporting terminology.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
Experience with object databases like MongoDB or NoSQL.
Comfortable working predominantly on backend (70%) but also capable with front-end (30%).
Preferred
Qualifications:
Full-stack development experience with a backend focus.
Additional knowledge of regulatory reporting processes.
Proficiency in Angular or JavaScript for front-end development.
Experience with microservices architecture.
Understanding of multithreading concepts.
Familiarity with design patterns.
Ability to write unit tests in Python for code quality assurance.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
