Responsibilities:
Database-centric application developerDeep understanding of relational database internal.
Deep experience in data modeling and data warehousing in a highly competitive, time sensitive environment, working directly with the developers, data architect and engineers.
Experience with performance optimization, problem determination and performance tuning for SybaseExperience working with other RDBMS like Oracle, DB2, Apache Kudu / Impala preferable.
Strong development skills in stored procedure and user-defined functions for ANSI-SQL, T-SQL, SQL/PL, Sybase skills preferable.
Other relevant skills are tools and utility development with python, shell.
Server-side development experienceExtensive database development experiencesIdeally previous experience in banking/finance sector but not essentialExperience / Understanding of Counterparty Credit Risk an advantageRequired SkillsBachelor's degree required or equivalent experience10 - 15 years experienceDatabase skillsProgramming skillsSybaseDB2SQLStored proceduresUtility development for automationPerformance tuningColumnar databasesCloudera / Hadoop HDFSImpalaKudu preferable.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
