Joseph currently has an employment opportunity for a Nursing Supervisor.
You will be supervising the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility.
Must be able to provide supervision in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility as required to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
The Nursing Supervisor is the delegated administrative authority with responsibility and accountability necessary for carrying out the assigned duties.
Must be Commitment to the Mission, Vision, and Values of the Center; Ensure that nursing service staff complies with the procedures set forth in the Nursing Service Procedures Manual.
Report to and works closely with the Director of Nursing /ADON to ensure that the department functions smoothly, efficiently and that residents receive the best possible nursing care.
Make constant rounds on all units to ensure that all nursing staff is performing work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
Report any issues to the DON/ADON.
Develop work assignment and/or assist in completing and performing such assignments.
Assists in the coordination of communication concerning resident/patient care needs with members of the other disciplines utilizing an in-depth knowledge base to ensure comprehensive follow-through on issues.
Ensures that established policies and procedures, including dress codes are followed by all department staff.
Regularly meets with all staff on assigned shift to assist in identifying and correcting any issues and/or to assist in the improvement of services.
Review and evaluate performance of the nursing department staff by participating in annual evaluations and making recommendations to the DON concerning transfer, promotions or other employment related decisions.
Understands and administrates the disciplinary process and reports any issues to DON & ADON Assumes responsibility for own professional growth and development; plans and/or participates in conferences and classes to improve knowledge and practice in resident/patient care; attends in-services programs that are provided to facilitate compliance with regulations; completes annual training as assigned in a timely manner.
Requirements:
A graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
A minimum of two years' experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred but not required.
