In the coming months our client in your area will have a need for a Lead SAP Basis Professional.
Basic Function:
You will deliver best-in-class
services
for a complex SAP system landscape. You will provide 2nd and 3rd level SAP basis support and will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance of existing and new SAP products. You will implement and coordinate new SAP installations and upgrades. You will assure a stable system performance and a continuous improvement of our customer satisfaction.
Essential
Responsibilities:
Maintaining and troubleshooting our current SAP system landscape (ERP, SRM, SCM, XI/PI, Solution Manager, SAP Portal, MII, BI, Aris, MDM, Business Objects) based on platform HP-UX/Linux/Windows and Oracle.
Monitoring with tools like SAP Solution Manager, CCMS.
Installing, upgrading and maintaining SAP products and Oracle Databases.
Governs a team of Basis individuals based in India.
Must be flexible with working hours to accommodate being a contributing member of various global project teams.
Lead a Solution Architect within US. Perform reviews and target setting interviews.
Create and control development plans for all team members.
Manage the resources of the regional Basis team. Assign work packages within the team.
Communicate with the business and act as a contact person for functional changes.
Approve functional change requests and consider possible global impacts. Ensure that functional changes are also approved by the business and IT SMEs.
Perform supplier evaluations and give recommendations for projects.
Act as escalation contact for regional support issues.
Work together with other shared service teams to define requirements for storage, network, printing, server installation.
Vendor management experience is a critical factor.
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in
information technology
degree or equivalent experience.
One needs at least 3 years of experience as a Basis consultant.
One needs at least 5 years of professional work experience in the technology industry.
SAP Certified Technology Consultant.
Excellent knowledge in SAP Netweaver technologies (ABAP, Java).
SAP Basis knowledge in the applications Solution Manager, Exchange Infrastructure, Portal, BOBJ, Aris, some XI/PI and EDI exposure, SIAM exposure a plus.
Working Knowledge of:
System administration of SAP Netweaver (ABAP
Java);
System administration of Oracle Database ;
System administration of UNIX and Linux (HP-UX cluster, SuSE);
Identity / Security management in a SAP environment;
5-8 years professional work experience in technology industry.
Leadership & Communication:
Interact with other IT employees in providing solutions to SAP end users.
Provides input into process improvement solutions and drive implementation.
Effectively leverages technical resources and tools.
Exhibits strong time management skills.
Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrated leadership qualities; experience in leading / managing at least 1-3 members in a project team (onshore/offshore) and experience in handling Vendor teams.
