The key to success here is to have someone who has implemented SAP AP for other clients, who has done SAP AP configuration but can understand the business needs. It is not a straight project manager. It will morph into a PM.
Responsible for managing an SAP Accounts Payable project. Specifically, this project which will replace an intermediary system that maps data between legacy systems and SAP by utilizing a common source template into SAP. This is a hands on project management role, and it is important that this person has a roll up your sleeves attitude and will be comfortable managing the project and also performing design and testing where necessary. This person is responsible for all aspects of the project. Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project oriented work efforts. Establishes and implements project management processes and executes against these plans to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations. Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately. Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers. Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed. Assists Program Manager(s) in partnering with senior management of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise. Must possess extensive knowledge of SAP Accounts Payable. Demonstrates specific technological expertise in highly utilized application packages including ERP (SAP), Must be able create and document process flows. Required: Bachelor?s Degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience and 6
years of Project work experience, including SAP projects. Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is required.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
