Job Description
Senior Java web developer to work on design and implementation of next generation of Reporting 3.0 platform.
Responsible will include:
- Participation in all phases of an Agile project life cycle
- Pro-actively maintain status of user stories, tasks in a project management tool
- Periodically perform duties of a scrum master
- Implementation of functional requirements
- Write front-end and back-end logic using an approved set of Web development tools and technologies
- Define and implement database models to support Reporting 3.0 requirements
- Maintain and enhance existing development environment including build and test automation, deployment and monitoring
- Write and execute unit, integration tests
- Writing project-related documentation
Job Skills
Must have 5
years of programming experience in Web Application Development with strong front end development skills.
Required skills:
- JavaScript SPA frameworks such as AngularJS, Backbone, Ember.js or similar
- Java/J2EE (Spring, JSP, Servlets)
- JMS (WebSphere MQ, TIBCO EMS)
- Database connectivity technologies (JDBC, ORM framework Hibernate or similar)
- RDBMS (Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server)
- Experience developing software for J2EE Application Servers such as IBM Websphere, BEA Weblogic, Tomcat, JBoss or similar
- Browser technologies (HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS)
- An applicant should also be:
-Familiar with Object Oriented design/development concepts
-Know and use common Design Patterns
- Comfortable with relational DB concepts and be fairly fluent with SQL.
Desired skills:
- NoSQL - MongoDB, Neo4J,
- Experience in writing feature testing scripts using Gherkins
- Familiarity with source code control concepts such as SVN or GIT
- Some experience in working in Agile environment
- Strong team player, self-motivating, able to manage stressful situations & negotiate.
- Ability to respond under pressure to many demands
- Knowledge and experience working for financial services company is a plus.
