Infrastructure Engineer


Responsibilities:
Kforce has a client in search of an Infrastructure Engineer in Jersey City, New Jersey (NJ).
Summary:
The scope of work includes performing move, adds, changes and deletes (MACDs) to the company's Cisco Voice network including Business as Usual (BAU) requests (request based) and Project work (multiple bulk requests with similar requirements).
Project Work will include migrations & other line of business related projects through request systems.
Key
Responsibilities:
The objective will be to execute MACD requests and Projects for the Company.
The engineer will follow process to:
Analyze needs Modify/Add/Change/Delete features and functions per user request Thoroughly test and validate the MACD change Implement the change Work with company project manager to determine scope of deliverables for Projects Provide post migration support for projects Determine, in conjunction with company project management and other project team members, the appropriate schedule to perform approved production environment change control process Role Specific Responsibilities Include BAU:
Adherence to processes as defined by the company Zero incidents due to MACD implementation of work Continual focus on the customer with minimal customer escalations due to MACD work Projects:
Participate in the company migration preparation activities by attending the migration preparation meetings and via persistent chat sessions and conference calls Provide support for all the migrations performed Provide On call support for issues raised during migrations during the business hours and after hours Resolve daily migration issues received via emails and follow up with the client to have a proper request submitted for the task performed Work with various teams to ensure to get all the relevant details to work on the project and be ready for migrations well before the migration date is scheduled REQUIREMENTS:
Intermediate understanding of LOB technology drivers and their impact on architecture design Proficient knowledge and understanding in the following key areas:
Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations) Hardware Benchmarking (Agile, program managements, network management) Design (compliance, security) Network Engineering (planning, provision) Knowledge of more than one specific infrastructure technology Intermediate understanding of best practices and company policies Intermediate troubleshooting skills Technical certifications as required Can you picture yourself working for one of -America's Ideal Employers-? The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
